In 1955 two nutrition industry pioneers realized that there was no professional association with member companies west of the Mississippi and even those in the East had only a handful of companies in their organization that had anything to do with nutrition. They proposed a meeting in Los Angeles to spur some interest in the West and gain a voice for the industry.
For more than 50 years the group put on timely, entertaining and significant programs each spring. Subjects ranged from global strategy to public relations to regulatory issues. Attendance soared to over 500. The annual Spring Forum was simply THE premiere networking event. It provided extraordinary value to manufacturers and suppliers alike.
Recently, more than 80 companies representing the nutrition industry have stepped forward to make sure the tradition and opportunity to “meet, educate and collaborate” continues. As the largest non-profit annual event run by and for its’ members, the Nutrition Industry Association-West is proud to carry the organization into the next 50 years.
